How Does Sculptra Work?
Sculptra injections are performed at WishLane Aesthetics in the comfort and privacy of our treatment rooms. Following your consultation, your nurse injector will apply a numbing cream to your face before cleansing and marking the injection sites. Once you are ready, the filler will be injected into the deeper skin layers at the selected sites. For best results, we generally recommend a series of four Sculptra treatments spaced around three weeks apart. Many of our clients at WishLane Aesthetics like to add Sculptra injections to other cosmetic treatments (such as a facial or wrinkle relaxer injection) to enhance their results.
Am I A Candidate for Sculptra?
Sculptra is ideal for clients who want to boost volume in their cheeks without implants and surgery. Some candidates may have naturally flat cheeks, whereas others have volume loss with age. Sculptra dermal filler may also help to treat shallow to deep facial wrinkles and lines, such as chin wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. Since Sculptra helps to prompt the natural production of collagen in the skin, many clients will see a visible improvement in the appearance and health of their skin.
What to Expect After Sculptra Injections
After your Sculptra treatment, you may experience mild or moderate swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising at the sites of injections that should resolve on its own in several days. To speed healing, you can apply a cold compress to the injection sites. You should avoid UV exposure as much as possible after your appointment and use sunscreen. Most patients will see improvements immediately following their Sculptra injections with full results appearing after a few months, when the increased collagen production strengthens the skin. When Sculptra is performed as a series over 3 – 4 months, results can last as long as two years.
